Intro to Photo Book Design Workshop
by Stacey Wiseman
With my first child, I was all about figuring out my camera. I’m sure you know the drill. The desire to learn everything about how a camera can possibly capture all of these amazing, fleeting moments I was witnessing. Smiles, yawns, little toes. Everything.
After learning about the power of manual mode through Lynne’s Photography Fundamentals workshop, I had a mountain of photos from my “practice” sessions. Thousands of photos started to build up in my library. At the end of the year, the photos stored in my computer seemed inaccessible. I was too busy practicing while being a mom, that I never looked at them.
Never.
What’s the fun in looking at photos on a desktop folder or Lightroom catalog?
Then I made a photo book.
Suddenly I had a document of my practice. Of my family. Of my evolving understanding of what it means to be a mom and raise a family.
With this first book, I learned that the making of a photo book is the final act in taking the photographs. The creative process of photography was not complete until the photos were printed in a book. And printed in a way that spoke to my composition, my vision.
My Intro to Photo Book Design Workshop allows you to realize your photographs in a gorgeous photo book. I take you deep inside what it means to design a photo book and how to effectively use the tools in the FREE design program to make the most of your vision. You’ll be amazed at what you can do with Blurb’s BookSmart!
Each week you’ll receive a PDF with instruction, visual examples, and videos to demystify the photo book design process. Here’s an example:

I’m really excited to kick off this contest and my next Intro to Photo Book Design Workshop!!! Good luck to all the entrants!
A special thanks to Sandy Tracy who provided permission to use her photograph and photo book example.
Hi! I have about 400 from 2012 selected from 1000s taken that year and well over 10,000 from several years waiting to be culled. Yikes!
Hi! I have about printed 500 photos in traditional albums, and a few thousand – from recent years – on my computer.
Thanks for the opportunity -your post is shared.
I hope I win! I so need this. I have sooooo many photos all hidden away in my hard drive (3,564 + 4000 in my external drive) & I’m so overwhelmed… I don’t know where to start!! Post shared 🙂
What a wonderful opportunity! Thank you!! I shared on IG. 🙂 I am ashamed that I have over 10k in pictures just sitting on my hard drive.
This is horribly embarrassing. I have 20,537 unprinted photos. My walls are bare of prints and I have no photo books I’ve created. I REALLY need this workshop.
22,000+ since my son was born just over 3 years ago….22,000. I truly believe that printing your photos and finding was to enjoying them is so very important in your daily life.

I have a LOT of unprinted photos… and a ton more printed ones in boxes. Heck, I have family images that are unedited from years ago…
Yikes. Putting a number on my unprinted photos makes me sad. I have over 25k from the last decade tucked away on quite a few hard drives….
