January leaves us this week, while we are in Week 5 of Project 52. Thank you so much to all who have been playing along with us in our Year In Song project. Your interpretations of this week’s theme were creative and beautiful, it made choosing from them so very difficult! We are so impressed by the talented members who are contributing to this project, and can’t wait to watch all of your work unfold over the year.

The theme for Week 4 was a lyric from the Rolling Stones’ song “Paint It Black”. We chose the lyric “black as night, black as coal” for inspiration and interpretation. Seeing the differences in how you all photographed this was just plain awesome. Everything from moody light to coffee to actual stars, your entries are fantastic!

If you haven’t joined in on our project yet, keep scrolling after the photos for all the info you need to jump right in! Week 6’s theme is “Yours are the sweetest eyes I’ve ever seen”, from Elton John’s “Your Song”.
