Light is one of, if not, the most powerful tools at a photographer’s disposal. Understanding it can have a transformative effect on your photography. This is what underpins this exciting new workshop coming to you from The Photographer Within – Light and Creativity.

Join Katrina Stewart and go on a journey to really understand light in depth. Course materials cover:

  • Light quality (hard versus soft light and when to use each);
  • Creative exposures;
  • Storytelling with light (including what lessons we can learn from cinematography, animation and classical art);
  • Alternative light sources and how to use them effectively; and
  • Having fun with light (including playing with bokeh and focus).

and much more. At the bottom of this post, you can see some excerpts from the course itself.

The workshop has been condensed into 3 weeks to keep it affordable for participants and in addition to the 3 weekly assignments,  there are a number of self study exercises that participants will be able to work on both during and after the course has completed.
